"sense" for "since"

“Make since” for “make sense” has been discussed here, but not “sense” for “since”. I’ve stumbled on it a couple of times, most recently here:

I’ve played pwi sense day one sense it was released…

Googling “ever sense” yielded about 250 or so unambiguous unique substitutions. I doubt it’s an eggcorn, though, as I can’t figure out a plausible meaning connection, so for now I’m just calling it a substitution.
