"waddles" for "wattles"

Today i noticed a few of my turkey’s waddles appears white instead of red – is that frostbite??
poultry discussion

Did you know turkey’s waddles and faces turn colors when they’re feelin aggressive?
weird facts

The turkey uses the waddle in 2 ways. One, it is a cooling device, when the weather is hot the turkey expands the waddle with blood so that it can cool down in the air.
Q&A site

The to and fro movement of wattles could be thought of as a waddle. Add the fact that a fat turkey may waddle along, throw in some possible influence of the word “wobble”, and I think we have an eggcorn.
