Re: eggcorn on Facebook

Fun! And self-descriptive.
.
But to be an eggcorn it should be standard for the perpetrator (do you have any reason to think it is, in this case?), and the “new” imagery should make sense, again from the perp’s perspective. To our jaded perceptions, the idea of a baby being a bungle or of the joy being messed up may make sense and contribute to the humor, but presumably the perp was really meaning to write “bundle” and simply bungled it, without miss-taking it in that way. Or, of course, the perp may have been aware of both bundle and bungle and wrote bungle thinking it funny, in which case this is a pun.
.
It might be a typo, but probably not a standard fingerslip (d and g are not adjacent on a qwerty keyboard). Word-final -dle and -gle are common enough that for many typists each probably forms a kind of tactile or kinesthetic gestalt and substituting one for the other may be a kind of typographical analogue of a malapropism.

we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
