"Historical" for hysterical

I stumbled upon this one on reddit.

It was absolutely historical watching her (and others) do these sort of things, to the point that I was crying from laughing so hard.

I peg it as a silicism for hysterical, based on a spelling in the nature of “histerical”. Funny, nonetheless.

Re: "Historical" for hysterical

If anybody really thinks this is the right word, they might think it is so funny as to deserve a place in history. But I also doubt that this is really an eggcorn for anybody.
