Eyelet cells

Saw this in a magazine at the doctor’s office and later found 220 hits on Google, vs 568,000 for the correct “islet cells”. The Islets of Langerhans are so named because they are little “islands” of cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. If you didn’t know this, I suppose the phonetically identical “eyelet” would make just as much sense. Interestingly if you search on Google Scholar the only “eyelet cells” that turn up seem to be the real thing – cells involved in the development of insect eyes or eyespots.
