I’m posting this in a jocular vein. Nothing to do with the human circualtory system, which might also include the “ephemeral” artery.

It’s a cute example of a malapropism, since no one would seriously think the vein has anything to do with being “jocular” (or would they?) Same would apply to “juggler vein” if anyone had ever accidentally uttered that. But, you never know when someone might make a legitimate connection between the original and the substitute and turn these musings into respectable eggcorns!
