in the typeface on my (pseudo-)computer screen,eggcorn is virtually indistinguishable from e g g c o m ! One speculates – an EGGCOM might be a message of special worth or,equally, a dud!
if you feel like extending your remit,or starting a new `chapter`,you might consider people who go on what a word sounds like to subvert its meaning. A particularly maddening example is the use of `obverse’ to mean `reverse’! Latest sinner,Haneif Kureishi in the London Guardian last week.All the best!
