'trilology' for 'trilogy' - not an eggcorn...

...so I’ve slipped it here into ‘Slips etc’.
I hear people using ‘trilology’ almost as often as ‘trilogy’ and can only assume that there is a need to ‘correct’ the latter as it neither looks nor sounds right and should be in with the other ‘ologies’ where they feel it belongs.
It may irk the ear that nothing rhymes with ‘trilogy’, and a familiarity with the ologies may persuade the lip to add that syllable, unconsciously of course, and remedy the anomaly?

Or, give it as a gag gift to your new age friend that’s into Feng Shui. It’s the fifth book in our trilology and our most intellectual effort to date. ...
