I ran into a strange usage today in a sign on my workplace’s bathroom door: “Sorry, restroom is temporally out of service”. A quick google of “temporally out of service” actually returns a good number of legitimate results. I’ve never seen this usage before, though.
It makes a sort of sense, as something temporary can definitely be measured in the temporal dimension, and it sure hasn’t gone out of service in the spatial dimensions. Thoughts? I found no other mention of this on the forums or the database so I thought I would put it out there.

I suppose it’s better than the alternative – “Sorry, restroom is eternally out of service”.
