I’m delighted to find the term ‘penn’orth’ that is, ‘pennyworth’, still in use so many years after our money was decimalised and decimated, modernised and murdered, and I applaud “ikeepminehidden” for utilising it so unselfconsciously. I’m afraid, Aimless, that I don’t feel the term cannot be seen as an eggcorn because it fails to be a ‘meaningful malapropism’, [my current yardstick (of infinitely variable lengths)], but please keep whacking in any likely observations.

Oh well, it was a good try.
I’ll keep my eyes peeled, just like grapes.
