I like that one since it flows so nicely and smacks of genuineness! You might look into the Eggcorn Database which lists “Take it for granite” as a distinct eggcorn from your own.

The only other point I would make is that most(?) eggcorns involve a different etymology from the base expression. For instance, “granite” and “granted” are completely distinct, but “grant it” and “granted” are both based on the word “grant.” (I don’t think this would necessarily disqualify your find as an eggcorn since no one has really stated a strict set of rules). So, in the meantime, “nice find!”
