This eggcorn, which may be a slip, was said repeatedly by an excited 6 year old friend on visiting a large hedge maze that he claimed to know well because he’d been there once before. He urged us to follow him because he knew the maze, “Like the back of my head!”
The accompanying teenager and adults found this very funny and were usually prevented from following in a timely fashion due to giggle fits, which made our young friend repeat the phrase.
My teenager claims that he has heard it since from other young people in his high school, located in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. Our young friend attends primary school in nearby Yackandandah.
