This one pertains to trilliums:
A lovely word and a lovely flower.
When I was little, growing up in northern Minnesota, I thought they were
called “trillions” because there were so many of them in the spring!
Keep in mind that this is a child’s misunderstanding of a word since the adult making the comment clearly recognizes the mistake.
