in a bbc article asking for reader opinion on admission of students to popular school via lottery, Tom Wood writes:
“These are exactly the kind of problems you can expect when schools are ranked using league tables and encouraged to continue selection (all be it limited).”
Is “all be it” an eggcorn?

Hi Patnerz—welcome to the forum.
To be an eggcorn, a phrase has to be a reinterpretation of the original. Since “albeit” really does come from “all be it,” I’d say the latter is just a non-standard spelling of the usual phrase.
