"labelous" for "libelous"

There are 39 ghits for ‘labelous’, some deliberate wordplay but others, seemingly, not. The two are homophones for some English speakers which might explain some usage, but having looked at all the examples I’m beginning to suspect there may be a genuine need for this new variant.
