"pagerism" for "plagiarism"

This one seems to work well: plagiarism is almost literally “taking a page out of someone else’s book.” A reference to the word “page” in a term for the theft of text or ideas seems appropriate. But I’m a little suspicious. “Plagerism” is a really common misspelling for “plagiarism” (214k rhits) and from there you only need drop one letter when typing. Still, I’d like to think a few of these are authentic. 200 rhits. Examples:

Where a tutor discovers what he/she suspects is a case of pagerism or collusion, the case should be referred to Dr. Frans Coenen.

I really wouldn’t take notice of people who claim pagerism, as you are not claiming this work as entirely yours.

This is a case of pagerism pure and simple. Journalists, above anyone else, should know this. I think she should be fired.

Pure pagerism is not creative.

To be honest, I like them just the way they are. I wouldn’t change a thing (and agree 100% with you about the whole pagerism thing).
