'bunker down' for 'hunker down'

‘Bunker down’ is in Jan Freeman’s language column in today’s Boston Globe, listed as one of several new and improved annoyances for usage snobs.

But one man’s peeve is another man’s eggcorn, and this seems like a perfectly good one. Arnold Zwicky agrees; he had already blogged about ‘bunker down’ in september, 2004 at Langauge Log.
