Re: holster top for halter top?

I googled this term, and while it doesn’t seem to be that widespread, there are articles of clothing listed at various sites that are called holster tops:

HowCool.com – Lingerie Tops – Holster Top[BZ-1674SL] Holster Top, us$15.70 us$14.18. Body Zone: Holster top. Shown with BZ-1147SL G-String. ... Notify me of updates to Holster Top …

Whether these usages constitute eggcorns or just something different from a halter top, I’m not sure.

either kind of top sounds to me like an over-the-shoulder boulder-holder.
sorry, couldn’t resist.

Re: holster top for halter top?

I see the tops the lovely ladies are wearing on those websites actually go across the body, like the apparatus a cop might wear to conceal his weapon. So the use of “holster” top on those sites actually makes some sense (!)
