"topple the issue" for "tackle the issue"

This came up in a conversation I overheard. I haven’t found many google hits to match and some of them use the phrase in such a way that topple is more appropriate than tackle, but in the conversation I heard it was definitely an eggcorn (Something along the lines of, “You think you guys can topple these issues by Friday?”)

“There’s an ideal solution out there to solve the issue of rigidity, stability and flex, even in my crank as well. I hope to topple these issues with a different material make-up with further research. ”

In this broadcast, Rev. Rob Schenck topples the issue of Hollywood director James Cameron claim to have found the tomb of Jesus Christ.
