I have to admit I thought the original was ‘wracked with pain’ which has 22,000 gross hits against ‘racked’s’ 30,000. ‘Wrapped with pain’ suggests being enclosed by or covered with pain, while ‘rapt with pain’ suggests complete immersion or absorption in pain.
