[edit: This should be an eggcorn because it has a meaning similar to but different from (and making as much sense as) the original.
The original phrase deals with turning things back right-side-up, setting things right that were wrong. Re-writing is like re-writing your history, going back and undoing wrongs. It’s different, but it makes as much sense.]

Seems pretty eggcornish to me… If you rewrote the wrongs of the past, perhaps they would be made right.
Feeling quite combobulated.
