Eggcorn Forum

It’s that time of year when, everyone in the western world takes a last look back at the preceding 12 months and publishes a ‘best of’ ( or ‘worst of’) list. 2007 was a highly productive year at the Eggcorn Forum and here are my top choices. While I was initially aiming for a ‘top 10,’ I had too many favorites and just gave up.

Of course, there’s nothing authoritative this list, and I invite insertions deletions, and other, completely unrelated , lists. I would say, though, that I think that everything here is worthy of canonization on the Eggcorn Database. (And if you like lists, be sure to look at Jorkel’s 6/20 entry, and the commentary that followed.)
