One of my all-time favorite eggcorns discussed here in the forum was “crap chute” vs. “crap shoot.” What was particularly clever about it was the fact that both words took on a secondary meaning.

Aside from that, I recall chute/shoot being discussed at least one other time here in the forum. There was a discussion about whether the two words were in fact interchangeable in some circumstances.
