"big ta-da" for "big to-do"

My daughter overheard this one recently. She says only magicians should be allowed to use it. The gist is, if something is pulled off with great fanfare, why wouldn’t it be accompanied by a big “Ta Da!”?

“We make a big ta-da out of having the largest salad bar in the U.S.,” Young says. There also are games, contests and educational exhibits. ...

Then I make a big ta-da about opening the book and having them read something aloud – not for comprehension, just for pronunciation. ...

Very few examples were found while looking under very strict search terms, but I think the eggcornicity is strong.

Re: "big ta-da" for "big to-do"

Hi Booboo—nice to see you back!

Arnold Zwicky has a writeup of to-do>>ta-do in the Database here: http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/813/ta-do/
There he talks about the possible influence of “ta-dah!” on the reshaping, but for some reason he doesn’t give examples of that variant. You comment about the scarcity of this makes me wonder whether there just weren’t any available yet when he was writing.
