'as supposed to' for 'as opposed to'

This is a footnote to the preceding entry. This particular substitution doesn’t make a lot of sense but looks very common, e.g.,

Why should I use WinSQL as supposed to the native tools that comes with the database?

I took into account a lot of things ranging from free medical care in Canada as

Here, this sounds like a comparison with an interjected “suppose”:

“And why I’m loving Zotero as, suppose, my old way of managing my citations.”
Not standard, but we can see a meaningful usage of “suppose”.

Still not sure this isn’t merely a malapropism, but worth thinking about.
