Fear of being trapped in a cluster. This eggcorn returns 4000 hits on a google search, some of which are clearly earnest uses.
A good eggcorn. And popular-I’m surprised this one hasn’t been noted here before. The Urban Dictionary tries to make an intentional word out of this slip (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p … sterphobic), but it’s clear that many who use the term on the web are eggcorning it de novo.
Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
One of my favorites in this season’s harvest of eggcorns—it gives me hope that we haven’t yet stripped the eggtree of similarly spectacular finds. And welcome to the forum, mander.
