I was reminded of ‘softmore’ by ‘southmore’.
Surprised this one hasn’t come up, to be honest; I’ll admit to having made this very mistake myself as a child before being corrected on it. And it sort of makes sense: a sophomore is someone who’s not a freshman, but still is more soft than an upperclassman. (At least that was my reasoning when I was a kid, anyway…)
Plenty of Google hits for it as well.
