One from my dictionary

Looking up “malaprop” in my New Oxford American Dictionary, I noted with some amusement that the example they give, “flamingo” for “flamenco”, appears to be an eggcorn. Of course, this one has been mentioned on the Eggcorn Forum a number of times.

Speaking of ones which have been mentioned here, I just remembered “sacreligious” for “sacrilegious”, only to find that it too has been mentioned herein more than once. It’s more fun to come up with brand new ones, but I still enjoy coming up with eggcorns even if they’ve already been mentioned.

Also in the main site: sacreligious. I’m not sure why the Flamingo dancers aren’t in the DB yet—there was some difficulty with the analysis.
