'full fleshed' for 'full fledged'

Since, I imagine, most people who use the phrase ‘full fledged’ or ‘fully fledged’ have no definite idea what fledging is about, the phrase is ripe for substitution. As an alternate way of saying ‘fully grown,’ ‘full fleshed’ is about as good. It’s fairly common too, although most often used appropriately to describe ripe fruit or rounded fictional characters.
