"A Mind of Information" for "A Mine of Information"

Has this one been discussed before? It’s a very clear one where it comes from etymologically speaking.

There’s thousands on Google (http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid … rmation%22), athough some are in a different context, or deliberate puns, or even possible typos, but many are unintentional.

For example – “Talk to the receptionists, they are a veritable mind of information. They cannot recommend a particular cattery to a client but if they get to know you and feel happy about your potential business venture, they will be able to put you on their list of catteries that they approve of.” http://www.startacattery.co.uk/keep-bus … -mind.html
