"Here, here!" for "Hear, hear!"

This one is already on the eggcorn list and has been mentioned at least a couple of times here in the past. I only mention it because I just encountered it in a chat-list post today, and I always get excited when I see one that’s new to me—or at least new in the sense that it’s the first time I’ve noticed it since joining the wonderful Eggcorn Forum.

Of particular interest in this case is the fact that googling the two phrases yields about 1,650,000 hits for the correct form (“Hear, hear!”) and 4,120,000—about 2 1/2 times as many—for the incorrect form!

If this keeps up, of course, eventually “Here, here!” will BE the correct form.
