This one too is already on the eggcorn list, but since I just remembered having heard it many times, I thought I’d mention it for the edification of those who may not have noticed it before. I always assumed that “hearty” was the more correct form, both because of meaning and, especially, because “hearty” rhymes better with “party” than does “hardy”. The experts agree with me (so they must be right). Discussion of it is here:

On top of images, the sub was also able to analyze the water down there and confirm that some particularly hearty bacteria is just hanging out. Some particularly hearty bacteria that might share common traits with particularly hearty extra-terrestrial life, if it exists.
