Arnold Zwicky—a Stanford linguist and probably the academic who has written the most about the theoretical underpinnings of eggcorns and related phenomena—has a new blog. There are only a few posts so far, but eggcorns do show up as a topic. It’s here: http://arnoldzwicky.wordpress.com/2008/12/
