I just stumbled on this one in a student’s writing: “pinned up” for “pent-up.”
“They are letting all their pinned up frustrations with this administration come pouring into the briefing room because they have always had contempt for Cheney.”
“Numerous Pascagoula residents vented their pinned up frustrations Monday toward elected officials, blaming them for not addressing rumors or setting policies quickly enough in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.”

[I suppose you could call Martin Luther’s theses nailed to the church door “pinned-up frustrations,” but these should be “pent up,” no? However, even that seems to be a legend—see http://www.luther.de/en/tanschl.html.]
“Are there pinned-up emotions of Fear, Hurt, or Shame, that you need to let lose?”
“The toys, like the fairy tales, serve to vent pinned up emotions in a child who may feel anxious about the greater, adult world; (e.g., Sponge Bob Square Pants is having an anxiety attack, a male action figure is clenching his fist in rage, etc.)”
