"cornery" and "Connery" heart disease

The use of the adjective coronary, to describe the blood vessels that surrounds the heart “like a crown”, can be traced to the latter part of the 17th century. Coronary heart disease is associated with an inability of the coronary circulation to supply sufficient blood to the heart muscles. Cornery heart disease might be related with tight corners that restrict the circulation – see the first quoted example. See also hearteries

The problem blocked artery now, on the back of his heart, makes too sharp a turn for the cardiologist to get the balloon to make the corner. Bypass surgery is too risky for one blocked artery.

Contrary heart disease must be some kind of WTF substitution – I doubt it fits the eggcorn code of being someone’s standard usage; it’s more likely to be the fault of contrary finger disease:

Best laugh of the day.

Does a bypass operation avoid the tight corners?

Re: "cornery" and "Connery" heart disease

I’m wondering if the “contrary” example might actually be another case of a common spell-checker miscorrection.
