"missed" for midst

“In the mist/midst of” was entered in the database in 2005 (link), and was submitted again to the forum in May 2006 here. Its complement, midst for mist, appeared in early 2006, and by late summer 2006 someone (jorkel) had spotted in our mitts.

This is a new variant: “in the missed of”. It’s not entirely malaproposterous. Some of these examples suggest situations where something is in fact missed in the swirling midst of the mist of the situation.

She has made comments like this before but never just came out and said that she missed Heaven. She said she missed God before though. This just confirmed what I thought. In the missed of it all, she was gradled in the Lords arms.
