I attended a wonderful seminar on charity case work, chaired by a crusty retired colonel who spoke, on and off, for some hours about the benefits that were available to clients. Unfortunately, according the to colonel, every client who could apply was, apparently, illegible, as opposed to eligible. Once half a dozen of us listening realised his mistake we began waiting for the next usage and the sniggers and smiles began to unsettle our colonel. We never told him.
