The first three examples are grammatical confusions. The past tense of sit is sat, the past tense of set is set. Using sat as the past tense of set was quite a common practice in the American midwest dialect that I growed up in.

And here’s a variation—“sitting” for “setting”—I just encountered a day or two ago:

All of DC’s tween dramas and broken scattered universe shows was like sitting the genre back 20 years.
