I found myself using the word ‘crudmudgeon’ frequently and when I had difficulty spelling it for an email I decided to look it up. I couldn’t find it in the dictionary but I did get hits in a google search. There were 1800 hits for crudmudgeon. One hit indicated it was a play on the work curmudgeon and described it as a ‘cruddy’ cranky old man.

So I guess an intentional use of “curmunchkin” would be creative were it to reference a very small curmudgeon! :-)
