Displayed on the wall of my favorite Chinese restaurant: “Bird-Burn Chicken”, over the full-color photo of the dish. I was mystified until I saw the identical picture in the menu with the caption “Bourbon Chicken”.
Obviously driven by the second language challenges of the restaurant owners…they do a huge business and in the evenings there is a child doing homework or playing behind the cash register, who assists with correct answers when needed. The interactions between the customers, the cashier, the child and the kitchen are priceless.
‘Can’t find anything even close on-line, so this one is, in all likelyhood, unique.
