"upsearch" for "upsurge"

If there is an upsurge in interest in something, the numbers of people searching it out tend to go up. Hard to count because of various “branded” uses of “upsearch,” but there are clearly dozens of unique hits out there. Examples:

I know in the UK we are having an upsearch in young men committing suicide.
