'fulrition' for 'fruition'

A friend came across this in conversation the other day. If you weren’t already familiar with the word, it isn’t likely you’d spot the fruit in “froo-ish’n” and ‘full-rition’ seems a reasonably creative stab at the meaning, with echoes of full bloom or fulfillment:

I am quite happy “risking” some hypothetical bug bear story’s fulrition if I can avoid the definite end result of sugar. (For instance, the sugar industry …

Blending with fulfilment, don’t you suppose?

Re: 'fulrition' for 'fruition'

Reminds me a little of ‘fruitile,’ which I or someone else had posted a while ago. It’s a portmanteau of ‘futile’ and ‘fruitless.’

It’s hard to admit to such a fruitile mistake as leaving the Pac NW, but many have done it and like you and I are trying to get back.

Swim longs to be able to get that feeling again and has given up hunting as it’s fruitile these days.

How about futiless? A metabolic pathway that leads nowhere or exhausts resources is a “futile cycle”.

Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Possible “wasteful” or “futiless cycles” in lipid metabolism.

Not to be confused with da kine futless, for antsy or frustrated.
