insensed < incensed

Folks of this persuasion are insensed when you look for evidence

Most of the Democrats that I know are evangelical Christians. I doubt how many would not be insensed by this Politically Correct (from the Far Right) prepackaged tirade.

the younger ladies were insensed at their own dashed hopes.

I’m Insensed! I’m … .. I’m flumoxed!

This one may easily be a simple misspelling, but there are a lot of them. The standard word derives from a stem meaning to set on fire (cf. incendiary bombs)—the putative eggcorn would substitute for that the notion of causing insanity or rendering senseless, with sense prefixed by the negative in -. Either may of course be understood, via a standard metaphor (or metonymy), to indicate the causing of rage or fury.

*If the human mind were simple enough for us to understand,
we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
