Bask and Basque

Putting ‘bask’ for ‘basque’ is commonplace and unremarkable but the other way round seems odd, except as a pun. Most are puns but some appear to be a genuine confusion:

great opportunity to experience whale sightings such as the Humpback, Fin, Northern Right Whale, Minky and the Basqueing Shark. not to ..

Ranging from the huge Basqueing shark which can get to over 30 foot, down to the spotted cat fish at just a foot- and-a-half. ...

On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.
