'hinge your bets' for 'hedge your bets'

We already have ‘hatch your bets’ but this makes more sense. A hinged door can swing both ways and a well-hedged position can turn a profit whether the market moves up or down.

Thus, it becomes less effective to hinge your bets on one unit, and you must diversify or die so to speak.

You and I are basically saying the same things, but you’d rather hinge your bets, and I don’t.

There are also ‘henge funds’

Used by some of the largest, most demanding henge funds in the world. ...

that lent money who then lent money again to henge funds who then lent money …

Note that the investment banker was connected also with henge funds. ...

Some people would immediately make bad puns about ‘early building societies’ and ‘banking circles’ but not me. I can’t see any semantic case for ‘henge funds’. Henges are stone gallows, which I doubt many people know (I certainly didn’t), and apparently the word is connected to ‘hang’ and ‘hinge’. I can’t connect Stonehenge with funds, so it’s not clear if this is not just a typo.
