In general, there’s a lot of confusion about ‘faint’ vs ‘feint,’ even though ‘faint’ is primarily an adjective and ‘feint ’ isn’t. There’s some semantic overlap here- ‘faint-hearted’ means lacking in courage, while a feint is a deceptive stratagem, often bearing a connotation of sneakiness or cowardice. ‘Feint-hearted’ gets 40,000 ghits vs 2 million for ‘faint-hearted.’ Examples:
