'alto ego' for 'alter ego'

If the image of a choir were absent-mindedly superimposed on that totem pole view of our mental giblets we might have alto as superego and a bass or baritone id, leaving the tenor part as our everyday selves. Or, given some familiarity with the saxophone family, it isn’t unreasonable to see the ‘alto’ as a kind of higher self, perhaps…

This is the little bit of the web occupied by an open minded humanitarian person who just happens to be the alto ego of someone else.

The scene in which he dances Swan Lake with his adult alto ego gave me goosebumps.

where her alto ego that has been kicking in prior got all of sudden twisted and went heywire.

I am currently embracing my alto ego as a freelance writer and communication consultant, interested in expanding my work to audio and multimedia …
