Christine O’Donnell, in the Delaware debate, said her opponent, was with Obama, Reid, and Pelosi “lock, step, and barrel.”

Nice! But unless O’Donnell says that normally, and thinks of it as the normal way to say it, it’s probably a one-off blend rather than an eggcorn for her. The context is certainly right for a blend: she may well have had both phrases, “marching in lockstep with them†and “with them lock, stock and barrelâ€, in mind, and if so (and under the stress of a debate) it would be easy to mix them.
.
It may be an eggcorn for her, of course, and the chances go up when you see how many other people use it.
.
In any case, it has been reported before here , by klakritz (as usual). See also kem’s log, stock and barrel
