"tear ducks" for "tear ducts"

“Tearduk” in David’s last citation in the “Staff infection” thread made me think of “tear ducks.” We’ve had plenty of postings on duct>>duck, but I don’t think this particular misspelling has gotten a mention. Lots of hits. I can’t convince myself of its eggcornicity, but for me at least the watery associations of “ducks” make it entertaining.

So if you like being a victim, please don’t contact me, my tear ducks are dry for YOU!

She also has very watery eyes, don’t know if that is just allergies or if her tear ducks are clogged?

My face gets so bad my eyes swell; even my tear ducks are swollen.
