"joint at the hip" for "joined at the hip"

First came across this on a programming Q/A website here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6449 … -my-system . Quoting portion since it is likely to get edited and corrected.

My application is joint at the hip with the facebook application. I show the user’s photo and their friends from facebook. I am debating between storing the user (and their friends) photo on my system. What is better for the system performance? Is it to store the photos in my system or retrieve them facebook at run-time.

Google search has a few hits.

How do you say in Spanish: “we were joint at the hip?”
From a dictionary site forum post

bex and lauren joint at the hip or soo we thought
Youtube Title

Even with the phrase in quotes, the many of the first pages of results seem to still come up with medical results. Changing the query to [ we “joint at the hip” ] Link brings up more hits.

I reckon after last week’s effort we are joint at the hip…. for life.
